自1952年起，《紐約時報》的「時報書評」便組成獨立評委會，從數千本圖書中評選每年具有藝術價值的繪本，而今年的評委是Jennifer M. Brown、Brian Floca和Jerry Pinkney，他們都是童書界舉足輕重的人物。
